Thanksgiving recap

I wanted to thank everyone for their support for last week's

post about my recent miscarriage. I didn't really respond

to anyone personally, but I wanted to let everyone know that 

I appreciated your kind words.

Jason and I were really excited for Thanksgiving this year!

It was our first year having it at our house! We've always

gone to someone else's house for dinner (despite the fact

that Jason has made the Turkey every year.) 

We invited a bunch of friends over, and then my 

parents called and asked if they could come as well, which

turned out perfectly since all of our friends ended up having 

family come (or went home to family) and they 

weren't able to come. 

I even made my very first pies!  For Thanksgiving I got Jason 

a Colonial Williamsburg cookbook (we went there when

we were first married and loved it!), and we made some colonial

inspired pies! 

We ended up spending the day relaxing while my mom 

helped me take in some clothes that didn't fit. 

It was wonderful!
