Does anyone else feel like this year has just completely flown by? I swear it can't possibly be time for Christmas already! Although, I'm so looking forward to a day off spent with my little family!

We celebrated Christmas at church on Sunday and I wish I could have enjoyed it more. (Benson is in that rambunctious stage!) Regardless, I love Christmas Sunday! This year our church choir did a Christmas program and sang so many beautiful hymns. My favorite was a rendition of The First Noel sung to Carol of the Bells. It was breath taking.

I always try to treat the Sunday before Christmas a little more special and try to wear something festive to help get myself in the Christmas spirit. Growing up, my mom used to get my sister and me new dresses each year and it helped make Christmas Sunday a little more special. We went to church and got dressed up every week, but something about those festive new dresses made the day just magical.

While I loved getting a new dress for Christmas Sunday, I think it's even better to make your current wardrobe work for you rather than buying something new, or at least it's better for your wallet!

I bought this dress three years ago as my college graduation dress and I pull it out every December. I love the dark green color; it puts me right in the mood for Christmas. I also love the lace with the pleats. It feels so girly and glamorous.

Adding the right accessories can make an old dress feel new again! I feel like Christmas calls for something classy and this pearl bracelet was the perfect addition to make me feel instantly classy. I also wore this silver belt for an extra touch of festiviveness (which, I don't think that's a real word, but let's go with it.) Adding a blazer helped the dress look different and kept me warm since we've had a lot of snow this last week.

I was so glad that I was able to make my closet work for me and that it still felt like Christmas Sunday was extra special. Now I'm looking forward to Christmas and all our family traditions! (I'll be sharing them with you on Thursday so keep and eye out!) Merry Christmas!
