A Liebster, for me?!?!

The wonderful Kalylie from Kaylie Marie nominated me for a Liebster award!

I haven't known Kaylie for long, but she seems pretty awesome and you should check out her blog.

Anyhoo, here are the rules for the Liebster.

Here are my answers to Kaylie's questions.

1. What time do you usually wake up?

I have to be to work by 7 Mon. Wed. and Fri. so my body is starting to wake me up before then.

I'm quite sad about it.  

2. What is your favorite thing about blogging? 

Learning new things! I have learned so many new skills since I began blogging. My favorite thing has been learning about photography. I still have a ton to learn, but I figure that as long as I see continual improvement I will eventually become the photographer I'd like to be. 

3. If you had to describe yourself using five words, what would they be? 

Short

Determined

Energetic

Happy

Quick

4. Natural hair color? 

I never know how to answer this question because I always think my hair is a dirty blonde color but other people think I'm a brunette. Long story short I love being a (fake) red head.

5. Do you do anything special to get ready for bed?

Not really. I actually hate getting ready for bed. I wish I could just magically brush my teeth, wash my face and fall asleep!

6. Right or left handed? 

I'm a righty.

7. Favorite place to shop? 

This one is so hard! I don't go shopping super often but I have discovered Charming Charlie's this summer and I love it!

8. Favorite beauty tip?

One beauty tip I really want to try, but haven't gotten around to it, is using coconut oil as a lotion.

My favorite tip is not to brush my hair. I feel like a rebel and it saves me an enormous amount of time. 

9. All-time favorite movie? Why? 

Despicable Me. It never ever, ever gets old and it's hysterical. 

Also, Steve Carell with a Russian accent.

It's priceless.

10. Who is the one person you know you can go to with anything and why?

My husband. For obvious reasons, but before we were dating he was into a lot of the same things (read politics) that I was, and so we could talk freely and openly. 

11. What is something you're passionate about?

The truth. I'm a journalist so I get really annoyed passionate when people blame "the media" for everything. I understand that "the media" has its own problems and that there is a bias there, but I feel like it's people's responsibility to study what they hear and not just believe everything that they are fed. (I'll step off my soap box now, sorry about that...)
